Golf Club Care and Maintenance: How to Keep Your Clubs Looking and Performing Like Brand New

Golf clubs today are really an investment. More than just financially, also an investment in your game. Iron sets can cost SCARLETT SC085 over $2000 or more. Wood sets $1700. Drivers alone can cost in excess of $1000. At the time of purchase there is not much said about how to care for your new clubs. some stores will tell you to use long neck head covers if your clubs have graphite shafts, but that’s about the total of the advice. A quality set of clubs properly cared for can last a lifetime.

The first rule in keeping your clubs in like new condition is: DON’T TAKE OUT YOUR FRUSTRATIONS ON YOUR CLUBS! That may sound a little humorous, but, I’ve repaired many more clubs damaged due to temper tantrums than were caused by normal play. For the majority of golfers, care and maintenance starts with a regular inspection of your equipment. What do you check? How long does it take? How often is needed? Total time shouldn’t take more than 5 or 10 min.

Ideally, you should inspect your clubs prior to and Sony-Ericsson K550im after each round. But not being able to do that check them at least once a month, if during your inspection you find problems, get them repaired by a qualified professional golf club repairman before you use the club(s). This can save you money in the end.

Start your inspection by checking your grips for wear and tear. Grips usually wear along the top edge where the thumb rests. Grip material can get hard and glossy with age, they also would be slippery. Sometimes this can be repaired and will be explained more fully later. Next, check the shafts for rust, creases, or bends. Check for loose heads. Look at the ferrules, (the plastic piece that the shaft goes into before the club head.) if they are unseated from the hosel it could be an indication of other problems. Check the heads for gouges, cracks, rust, etc. For graphite, shafts check for scratches, wear marks, and fibers peeling away. If you are one of the select few that still use “wood” woods, inspect the finish. Chips in the finish, loose whipping, damaged or loose inserts, or soleplates can drastically reduce the life of our clubs. Again if you see KARCHER VC 5200 any problems se your professional golf club repairman.

Regular cleaning goes a long way toward keeping your clubs new. There are clubs that offer cleaning services whenever you play. Unfortunately, most of us don’t play at a facility that has this service, so we have to clean our own clubs. I know golfers that clean their clubs after every round. I also know golfers whose clubs only see any water when they play in the rain. Cleaning club heads is the part of club care & maintenance with which golfers are most familiar. Start with a bucket of water (I find that lukewarm is the most comfortable to work with). Let the clubs soak, heads down, for a few minutes. Then take

Impaired Judgment

Direct Answers - Column for the week of September 23, 2002

My husband has a twofold addiction problem, drinking and drugs. In the six years we Миксеры Philips have been married, he has had periods of sobriety, but they don’t ever last. I feel he has not confronted the underlying problem: he was molested as a child by a family member.

He is currently in jail due to getting drunk and hitting a police car. Before we met he had an arrest history for violent crime, but he was never violent with me. He has a good core to him, as well as LG V-C5283STU a feeling of worthlessness. When things are good they are very good, and you know the rest of the saying.

Al-Anon does not appeal to me. There are too many victims. I will not bail him out or give him money. He knows I feel he has to face the music. Luckily I am financially able to take care of myself, but I wonder if this marriage can ever be saved.

I am nearing the end of my patience with him. I refuse to allow him to make more excuses. My feeling is you always have a choice in what action you take. You

Better Procurement Practices are Required to Improve Productivity in Fiji

Fiji needs to increase its productivity or face ever increasing irrelevance in a world where economic and social barriers to trade are decreasing rapidly. Much has been discussed in Fiji about the need to increase investment to increase labour utilisation and productivity.

An element of productivity which is seemingly ignored on the input side is the cost of purchasing goods and services. The act of taking possession of a good or service, or procurement, has developed rapidly along with supply chain management as a science over the last twenty years.

A nation which imports goods and services at the high level Fiji does needs to learn both these sciences and apply them, urgently.

Procurement is not a difficult science. It does however, like all sciences, have techniques to be learnt and applied.

A simple but effective technique to use as a buyer is Короткое замыкание the buying relationships matrix. Constructing this matrix allows a buyer to understand where their purchase is positioned with suppliers and develop strategies to suit.

The two dimensional matrix plots on one axis the product value, Sony KDL-26P2520K complexity and buyer strength from low to high. On the other axis the matrix plots market complexity, market risk and supplier strength from high to low.

When a purchase is low on the product value axis and high on the market complexity axis, the ability to attract the interest of suppliers is low. The likelihood is that contracts SAMSUNG VCC5630V32 will be SAMSUNG VCC6260V3R more important than relationships, due to the difficulty in sustaining senior level interest from the supplier.

When the purchase is low on

Winning and Release of Chemicals in the Brain

There are many who study sports psychology and believe that some of the top athletes Toshiba 37AV502PR who compete love to win so much that they release chemicals in their brain before, after, and during the competition.

I believe winning releases chemicals too, lots of them. I can remember winning lots of races (track and field) and always feeling Нарушители “no pain” but if I did not win, the pain was exacerbated Кофемолки to the Healdsburg homes point of almost unbearable-ness. The single most obstacle that barricades potential real estate investors from entering the lucrative arena of iRobot Verro 300 owning rental properties is funding.
